Purpose The purpose of Rowan Jobs Initiative is to support economic development in Rowan County through advocacy and contributions. RJI’s Board of Directors decides which projects receive support at the recommendation of the Development Fund Committee, which is composed of members of the Board of Directors. The goals of Rowan Jobs Initiative include: Establishing a development fund by support through annual membership dues () and development fund efforts. This fund is used for buildings, land, infrastructure and marketing. Creating jobs Promoting development consistent with Rowan County’s quality of life Providing grants and support to assist in economic development efforts for Rowan County The benefits of Rowan Jobs Initiative include: Increased business and industry Enhanced tax base More services for residents Area revitalization More jobs
